Tenebrae

Tenebrae is the chanting of the office of readings and morning prayer from the liturgy of the hours.  The readings from the office of readings are taken from the lamentations of the prophet Jeremiah and are sung.  The office receives its name from the extinguishing of candles from a large candelabra after each psalm is chanted.  All are welcome to join in the prayer.
